In 1984, Jim Gander founded Superior Plumbing and Heating. Over the next two decades, four additional operations were created (Superior Water Conditioning, Superior Irrigation Systems, US Mechanical Insulation, and Superior Mechanical Systems). After years of business changes and industry shifts, all five companies were merged into one single company -  Superior Mechanical with offices in Rochester and Pequot Lakes Minnesota.

Merging all five companies into one allowed us to serve our valued customer base more competitively, through an expansion of both our services and service areas. Each of our experiences has contributed to shaping Superior Mechanical into who we are today - a full-service Plumbing, HVAC, Piping, Refrigeration, and Mechanical Insulation contractor.
